3D Printing @ TORUS
What we do :
We can help you turn your designs into reality and produce solutions to your problems in a very short space of time.
The results are endless..
Conventional tooling and moulding can be expensive, especially when all you require is a prototype or a quick test part to see if it works.
Here at Torus we have made it simple for you and for us.
You can either send over you're parts for quotation or we can help you with your designs and ideas. For a piece of mind we will be happy to sign Non Disclosure Agreements on your design projects.
How 3D Printing works @ Torus:
3 Easy Steps:
-
Send over your design data (Stl, Iges, Step)
-
We supply a quote
- Once you're happy, We print and ship to you!
This service is available to everybody, we supply to businesses, individuals, Schools and Colleges anyone who can benefit from 3D printing.
What Print materials we can offer:
PLA, ABS, CPE, CPE+, PC, Nylon, TPU 95A
PLA
Fast, safe and reliable printing
The PLA we use is made from organic and renewable sources. It’s safe, easy to print with and it serves a wide range of applications. It is the preferred choice for primary and secondary schools because it’s safe and easy to print with.
- Good tensile strength
- Good surface quality
- Easy to work with at high print speeds
- User-friendly for both home and office environments
- Allows the creation of high-resolution parts
- Ideal for models and prototypes that require aesthetic detail
- A wide range of colour options available- Please state preference
ABS
Tough and durable
ABS is used to print functional prototypes in automotive companies due to its high strength and durability.
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Excellent interlayer adhesion, especially when using the front door add-on
- Withstands temperatures up to 85 ºC
- Great for exceptionally strong prototypes or end-use parts
- Allows to achieve nicer aesthetics compared to other ABS filaments
- Formulated for an easy 3D printing experience with minimal warping and good bed adhesion
- A wide range of colour options available- Please state preference
CPE
Chemical resistant and tough
Product designers use CPE to make extremely tough and dimensionally stable functional prototypes.
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Excellent toughness and dimensional stability
- Good interlayer adhesion, especially when using the front door add-on
- Low levels of ultrafine particles (UFPs) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Ideal for short run manufacturing and functional prototypes
- Transparent option available
PC
Strong, tough, and heat resistant
PC is a top choice material for engineers and manufacturers who require parts that need to retain its strength, toughness and shape while operating in high-temperature environments. The PC option we use is a perfect filament for printing moulds, tools, functional prototypes and parts for short-run manufacturing.
- High toughness, especially for the non-transparent filament options
- Resists temperatures and retains form up to 110 ºC
- Flame retardant characteristics
- Dimensionally stable
- Strong interlayer bonding capabilities, especially when using the front door add-on
- Good bed adhesion, especially when using the stickers supplied in the Advanced 3D Printing Kit
- Allows printing of translucent parts for lighting applications with a transparent filament option
Nylon
Abrasion-resistant and durable
From toys to aerospace components, Nylon is embraced by engineers and manufacturers worldwide for an array of applications that require impact and abrasion resistance.
- Industrial-grade impact and abrasion resistance
- Durable
- High strength-to-weight ratio
- Low friction coefficient
- Good corrosion resistance to alkalis and organic chemicals
- Reduced humidity absorption when compared to other Nylon filaments
- Seamless 3D printing experience
- A wide range of colour options available- Please state preference
TPU 95A
Wear and tear resistant
TPU 95A offers robust material characteristics that can serve a broad range of functional prototypes where durability and flexibility are essential.
- Exceptional wear and tear resistance
- High impact strength
- Shore-A hardness of 95
- Up to 580% elongation at break
- Good corrosion resistance to many common industrial oils and chemicals
- Engineered for a fast and seamless 3D printing experience
- A wide range of colour options available- Please state preference
